Homemade Syrup!

Mount View residents always look forward to tapping the maple trees, as it is a sure sign that Spring is coming! Despite the pandemic, 2021 was a great year for gathering sap. We tapped 20 maple trees, boiled 150 gallons of sap and made 3-1/2 gallons of delicious maple syrup. We yielded enough to share with our sister facility, Cobb’s Hill Manor - and bottled some to share with our friends in the community! Pancake breakfast was a great success!
